Larissa, a volunteer from Switzerland, was volunteering 6 months in the Phuket Sunshine Village.
She was the first volunteer working for the PSV. Larissa lived in the Village with the kids, sharing a room with one of our mothers and dedicating her time every day fully to the children.
Larissa was a great help for our village director Mrs. Nuttisa and a real friend and teacher for our children.
Both, the staff and Larissa, learned a lot from each other during the last 6 months, a real transcultural experience with a great benefit for our children.
Please see some pictures below from the farewell party, the pictures say it all….
Good bye Larissa, we, and in particular the children, will miss you. Thank you very much for your big effort during the last 6 months, good luck for the future and we all hope to see you soon again.
For everyone who is interested in volunteering for the PSV, please read first our information for volunteers, if you think you can meet the prerequisites, drop us a mail and we will bring you in contact with Larissa, to get firsthand information of her impressions and experiences in the village.
See here the latest picture of the new PSV land right beside the Phuket Sunshine Village.
It is filled up, the wall around, including the lightning, as well as the gates are finished.
We are working now on a development plan how to use it in the most efficient way for our children in the future.
If you can offer any help in landscaping, development ideas etc., please do not hesitate to contact us.
Today Victoria Bird and her father Les Bird came to the Phuket Sunshine Village to hand over a THB 16,000.- donation to our administrative Director Mrs. Nuttisa.
Victoria kayaked around Phuket in 6 days to raise funds for several charities here on Phuket and the Phuket Sunshine Village Foundation children.
A big thank you to Victoria and her great achievement from all children, the staff as well as the B.O.D. of the Phuket Sunshine Village Foundation.
